Product Information
Providing Secure, Accurate and Reliable Time Synchronisation for the Smart Grid
The NTS 02-G Network Time Server from Microchip is a high-precision, three port GNSS (GPS/GLONASS) referenced Network Time Protocol (NTP), and Precision Time Protocol (PTP) grandmaster or boundary clock. Compliant to the IEEE® 1588v2 protocol, NTS 02-G provides secure, accurate and reliable time synchronisation to digital substation networks.
Each port is independently addressable and logically isolated enabling multiple networks to be connected to the same clock without compromising the network security. The addition of multi-level password protection and user access rights, SNMPv3, and built-in NTP amplification attack immunity, makes the NTS 02-G a versatile synchronisation solution for a range of critical network applications.
