The GNSS TCG 02-G Timing Clock Generator from Tekron is a highly accurate, fully featured GPS and GLONASS (GNSS) clock. Offering multiple oscillator options, Time Code and Frequency outputs, TGC 02-G fits virtually any timing application. With enhanced cyber security features, the TCG 02-G is designed for use in modern day smart grid / smart substations, electricity distribution, transmission, and generation protection. In addition, industrial application systems and traditional substations are equally provided for.
This master clock synchronises multiple Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) within a network, including protection relays, synchrophasors, event recording and remote telemetry units to enable accurate time stamping.
The base TCG 02-G Timing Generator unit supports Network Time Protocol (NTP), Precision Time Protocol (PTP) IEEE® 1588v2, IRIG-B, and serial time string outputs with the option of one of two expansion modules.
Expansion M2 provides additional outputs for installations where extra port density is beneficial such as networks with a large number of connected devices.
Expansion M3 provides additional telecom and frequency outputs for installations that require the sharing of time information between the substation and telecommunication networks.
