SyncServer S600 Highlights
Rubidium Atomic Clock
The rubidium atomic clock upgrade improves the stability and ongoing accuracy, as well as the holdover accuracy, of the SyncServer S600 time server to possibly save the user valuable time. If the GNSS signal is ever lost, which places the unit in holdover, the rubidium atomic clock significantly improves the clock accuracy during the holdover period.
Security Hardening
Some applications require security enhancements above and beyond what might otherwise be acceptable. In addition to supporting the standard network security protocols, the SyncServer S600 time server can be configured to provide additional timing, operational and authentication security to create the most hardened NTP/PTP server. This makes the S600 an excellent choice for Zero Trust networks.
Multiport PTP Operations
The IEEE 1588 PTP output license enables PTP grandmaster operations that leverage the built-in hardware time stamping available in all SyncServer time servers. This single-option license allows the LAN 2, 3 and 4 ports, as well as the optional 10 GbE LAN 5 and 6 ports, to be uniquely configured as PTP grandmasters. This is a very cost-effective solution for scaling PTP grandmaster operations and increasing configuration flexibility. PTP can also be configured as an input time reference.
NTP Reflector Security
The SyncServer S600 time server implements real-time, hardware-based network packet processing in tandem with accurate hardware-based NTP time stamping, general packet limiting and alarming. This protects the S600’s CPU from excessive network traffic Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks and provides extremely high-bandwidth, high-accuracy NTP operations.
GPS Jamming and Spoofing Detection, Protection, Analysis
The SyncServer S600 time server’s BlueSky™ technology option detects GPS jamming and spoofing related anomalies in real time to protect essential time and frequency outputs. Alarms are triggered when unexpected changes are detected and trust is compromised. The BlueSky technology detectors respond to protect the integrity of the S600’s time and frequency outputs.
Extensive REST API
The SyncServer S600 time server’s REST API follows the industry-standard OpenAPI specification 3.0 to provide full-featured status and control of the S600. The easy-to-use interface allows users to program their applications to automate configuration tasks, get status information and customise monitoring of specific parameters to meet their unique requirements.
The REST API is included with the SyncServer S600.
